Mission Statement

McHenry County Citizens for Choice (MCCC) is an Illinois grassroots organization dedicated to education about women's reproductive rights. We believe that every woman has the fundamental right to decide for herself, free from governmental interference, whether or not to have an abortion, and to access birth control.

Description

Our challenge is to educate McHenry County citizens about the importance of, as well as the imminent threat to, our reproductive rights. By promoting and expanding on the concept of sexual equality as the philosophical basis for these rights, we hope to reawaken in women and instill in the minds of girls the knowledge that women's rights are human rights and that individual sovereignty is constitutionally guaranteed. We aim to build an activist grassroots base with a voice so big that it cannot be ignored or overlooked.
