To bring students and farmworkers together to learn about each other's lives, share resources and skills, improve conditions for farmworkers and build diverse coalitions working for social change.

Description

SAF coordinates a paid summer internship program which links college students from around the country with farmworker agencies in NC & SC. The students work directly with the agencies in healthcare, legal issues, education and many other areas to help improve conditions for farmworkers. SAF also requires interns to do a documentary project documenting the lives of farmworkers, and provide community education on farmworker issues.
