Mission Statement

Parenting Connections is a resource for single parents, teen parents, dancers,stressed out parents seeking to bring hope into their homes and families. PC's goal is to brake cycle of poverty among parents and the working poor. Our website and local chapters serve as a support group for discussing the challenges of parenting in an often corrupt world and sharing parenting advice and strategies. We also sponsor scholarships to help single-parents, and dancers pay for their college education.

Description

The original model of Mothers Raising Children Alone, or MRCA, was a group called Ester that was held in a Texas church where Tyra Hodge attended. This group provided women with a safe, comfortable environment to share concerns and stories, seek guidance and provide inspiration with other women. Ms. Hodge was given the support needed to get her life back on track. Inspired by her experience with the group, Ester group was renamed Mothers Raising Children Alone (MRCA) in 2004 and incorporated in 2009. MRCA is based on the knowledge that God has a strategic plan for the lives of all of His children and offers guidance to single, teen, stressed parents looking to build a better life for themselves and their families. MRCA is now being called Parenting Connections.
