Mission Statement

Mission of the Vallejo Main Street
The mission of Vallejo Main Street is to revitalize Historic Old Town Vallejo as the Main Street of commercial and cultural activity that promotes shopping, working, dining, and living in a secure and progressive environment. The Main Street Approach advocates a return to community self-reliance, local empowerment, and the rebuilding of traditional commercial districts based on their unique assets: distinctive architecture, a pedestrian-friendly environment, personal service, local ownership, and a sense of community.

Description

Volunteer with Vallejo Main Street today! VMS is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, The California Main Street Alliance, and the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce. Vallejo Main Street is part of the National Main Street Program. A public benefit corporation dedicated to preserving the historic importance of Vallejo and working with the public and private sectors to achieve economic vitality.
