(b) to sponsor or engage in the establishment of infrastructure that provides people with access to information and the ability to embrace free speech, again including, but not limited to, server access for hosting and email as well as last-mile Internet access; and

Project DoD Mission Statement:
Our mission statement emphasizes a set of principals that the collective members of Project DoD truly believe in, and it's from this set of principals that this organization derives its motivation and direction. Our focus is to support or engage in humanistic endeavors that empower the public through access to alternative information. We are intent on developing or making accessible to the public tools and technologies that advocate a more egalitarian approach to life. Furthermore it's the intent of Project DoD that we further the push for an autonomous public and provide individuals with the resources and outlets they need to realize this goal.
Project DoD is a nonprofit collective organized to research and develop tools, technologies, and infrastructure that promote community, solidarity, and autonomy. Our hopes are that through such research and development these tools, technologies, and infrastructure, will encourage and empower members of the general public to learn, participate, and educate the world around them. Project DoD is not centrally owned and does not consist of a select few coordinating members, rather anyone who becomes a member and wishes to participate in the membership committee will have equal say, and equal vote in the decisions that effect our projects and goals. If you simply wish to suggest a project for DoD, then you should join the collective mailing list on the about page and post your proposal there. Project DoD started as a hosting collective for the underground music scene providing a digital outlet for a variety of artists. We would like to thank the underground community for their support and help in shaping Project DoD into what we are today.
