Mission Statement
We are a homeownership program for hard-working families in need of a decent, safe, and affordable home.
At Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone, everywhere deserves a decent place to live
It's a simple idea that changes lives. It changes families. It changes communities.
Ultimately, it is an idea that is changing the world -- one home, one family at a time.
We invite you to join us... working together we can build great things.
Description
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver builds and sells homes to hard-working people in need of decent and affordable housing. We are an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-denominational Christian housing ministry and global home-building movement. Habitat welcomes all people, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, or any other difference, to join us and build homes for people in need.
Locally, we were founded by volunteers in 1979, and since then, have built 370 homes in the Denver metro area, housing well over 1,500 people. We are recognized as one of the finest affiliates in the country, and were honored as the National Affiliate of the Year in 2005.
