Description

Greet The Day programs complement conventional medical care, and have provided thousands of professional volunteer hours of massage and bodywork for people with cancer. Massage and bodywork therapies are increasingly being used, both in and outside of the clinical center setting, to improve quality of life and experience of treatment for people with cancer. Clinical research supports the use of therapeutic massage in reducing pain, anxiety, constipation, fatigue and nausea; research evidence also shows evidence of increased serotonin and dopamine values, and improved immune system function.
