Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
We take in dogs that have been rejected by their families for many different reasons and are at risk of death. We specialize in the shy and timid dogs from surrounding shelters. We get their needed vetwork done and give them time to destress and assess their personality and training needs. Then we work on training them using as many options as we can. All of our dogs benefit from exercise on our farm and in our lake. Most of them benefit from playing with their dog friends and people who volunteer to help our dogs become pets. Our goal is that most of our dogs will find the family they belong in. and will thrive with. For those that cannot be adopted, we offer a permanent sanctuary.
We incorporated, as Mutley’s Miracles Inc., in 2014. As of November 2016 we have welcomed over 100 dogs to our farm. We have found families for many, offered permanent sanctuary to those who need it, grieved over the loss of many of our hospice dogs. We always have quite a few dogs in training and getting ready to connect with forever families.
We depend on volunteers to help the dogs learn to be pets and enjoy their lives. When you volunteer, you get to pick a dog you want to work with. When you come, you spend time with that dog, if it is a canidate for training classes, you can take it to class. You can take your dog on excursions, to adoption events, or to someplace else fun to hang out. We attend multiple training classes a week and have lots of activities on the farm for the dogs to participate in. We are constantly building and changing things to keep life interesting, so if you want to build fences, obstacles, etc, we would love that. We go to dog related events monthly at least. And attend adoption events as frequently as possible. We also try to teach people how to work with their dogs.
