Sunrise Community has provided person centered and innovative services to people with intellectual and physical disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome and spina-bifida, enabling them to achieve higher levels of independence and autonomy. Since the organization’s inception in 1965 we have expanded from providing services to 50 individuals in Florida to providing services to more than 2,750 individuals in seven states in 2015. Utilizing person-centered planning we offer, supported living, residential homes, supported employment, after school care, respite care, behavioral analysis and assessment, physical therapy, nursing, environmental modifications, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, residential habilitation, wheelchairs and adaptive equipment, and transportation. We also operate a senior daycare facility in Florida and Adult Day Training in Alabama, Connecticut, Maryland and Florida. Sunrise Community, Inc. has a strong infrastructure that has built the organizational capacity necessary to allow for the expansion and growth of the organization.
