Due to the recent public health emergency we have decided as a precaution to cancel Packing Events until Shelter-in-Place and Stay-at-Home Orders are lifted. Visit our web site for virtual ways to volunteer. We need volunteers to put items into care packages. We need letters of gratitude written to soldiers by volunteers. Packing Events are on the third Tuesday of every month.

A Plea for Letters of Gratitude for Soldier’s in Harm’s way Make a difference from the comfort of your own home. Help with COVID-19 from your home through virtual volunteering. This message from Packages4Patriots is a suggestion for a way you can help during these difficult times. If you have extra time on your hands and would like to give back to your community before life resumes to normal please consider taking the time to write a letter to a soldier in harm’s-way today. If you are home with children who are bored, this is a project they too could help with creating paintings and drawings. Packages4Patriots strives to include personal letters in every care package that we send. These letters and drawings ensure that a Soldier, Sailor, Marine or Airman knows that you are thinking of them. It will only take 5 minutes out of your day to write a letter, but it will bring joy to our troops that will last a lifetime. Sadly, most months we do not have enough letters and drawings for every care package. Here is some help to get started: CHILDREN AND ADULTS Letters: I write about everything. I include sketches and photos and poems and stories, quotes from what is going on around me and maybe some lyrics from a song. A puzzle, a quiz, a riddle. Kid’s Art: Don’t ask them to draw anything specific. Just collect them; A common favorite drawing is stick figures of your family and pets in front of your house. WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT Keep your message upbeat and positive Be thankful ~~ share a little bit of yourself Ask questions; however, do not discuss death or killing Avoid politics completely and religion in excess It’s all about appreciation and respect Ask yourself: "Will this letter bring a smile to someone’s face?" HOW TO GET YOUR LETTERS AND DRAWINGS TO US You can drop donations off during the day at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. Packages4Patriots seeks to lift morale and put smiles on faces by sending care packages to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm's way. We also ship to chaplains and commanders with the ability to give packages to servicemen that need a lift. Our motto is "Shipping until everyone is home".
