Our mission is to help create strong, vibrant, diverse, and sustainable neighborhoods by assuring that a supply of permanently affordable housing options, financial counseling, and other stewardship services are available to all members of our community, especially those or modest means and living in distressed or marginalized communities.

Description

Bright Community Trust is a Community Land Trust founded in 2008 by as Pinellas Community Housing Foundation. The founding purpose was to stem the loss of affordable housing units and prevent displacement of working families in an area experiencing gentrification and rapidly rising prices. Throughout West Central Florida, We steward over 520 apartments and over 35 owner-occupied homes in its signature shared-equity program, offers homebuyer education and financial fitness counseling, provides services to three jurisdictions, and offers affordable energy efficiency and rehab loans. Our properties currently serve people from below 30% of the area median income up to 120%.
