The Education and Employment Ministry, also known as TEEM, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking cycles of incarceration and poverty through education, personal development, and work readiness training.

Description

WHAT WE DO

The Education and Employment Ministry, TEEM for short, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In the past 30 years, TEEM has served more than 15,000 individuals in our community. When founded in 1987, TEEM primarily served men with alcohol and substance abuse issues. Today, our emphasis is on giving a hand up to individuals re-entering society, through educational preparation, social services, and job training and placement.

We strive to provide our clients a second chance at success; in essence, a chance to redefine themselves by their gifts, skills, talents and passions, instead of a troubled past. All TEEM's services are free of charge to our clients.

TEEM takes a three-pronged approach to breaking cycles of incarceration and poverty in Oklahoma by providing individuals with education, social services, and job training and placement.

We holistically prepare our participants for employment by incorporating mentor ship, life skills training and confidence building into our program. By giving a hand up, we help our participants refine their skills and achieve their goals.

TEEM has been an eye-opener for me. I thought I knew it all since I had been to college but I was mistaken. TEEM has the best computer classes. I learned more there than I did in college. The people are all loving and friendly and they're waiting to change many more lives. Because of my experience at TEEM I now have a full time job with a prominent company where I am using all the skills I've learnd. Thank you TEEM.
