Construction "Regular" Volunteers are the backbone of our home building operation. This is a group of men and women who are passionate about building homes on a regular basis. The expectation is that if you sign up to be a Regular, you are coming out at least once or twice a month on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Many of the Regulars volunteer once or twice per week. Here are some of the benefits of being a Construction Regular Volunteer: You'll get to know the rest of the Regulars and build long-term relationships. You'll learn new skills and improve on them as you spend more time on the construction site. You'll be making a huge impact on Loveland Habitat for Humanity and the families we serve. Here is a summary of our Construction Volunteer program: No previous construction skills are required or expected. All tools, gloves and safety gear provided and supervised by skilled construction team. Typical tasks include framing, drywall, soffit work, interior and exterior painting, and landscape related work. We have homes at different stages of completion, and we ask for your flexibility with assignments. Year-round building, weather permitting, excluding holidays. We are looking for regular volunteers to help us build homes on Fridays! Habitat for Humanity believes that every man, woman and child should have a decent and affordable place to live in dignity and safety. All across America, individuals and families struggle to find affordable places to live. Habitat seeks to remedy this injustice by providing families with a hand-up, not a hand out, to own their home and pay an affordable mortgage. Loveland Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1987 by a small group of forward thinking community and religious leaders. Through their common interest in making Loveland the best city that it could be, these visionaries recognized a growing need for safe and affordable homes for Loveland’s low income families. Since our founding, Loveland Habitat has completed over 150 new homes in Loveland. What you need to know: No previous construction skills are required or expected.
