The Village Project, Inc. (TVPI) was estalished May of 2008. It was created to provided culturally appropriate services to the African American populaton in order to address unment needs that existed in the community. While the focus of TVPI is to serve African Americans, we are also commited to providing services to anyone who needs them, and from the beginning, our constituency has consisted of the diverse population of Monterey County.

While our current services center on mental health counseling, we also have a parenting prgram and psycho-educational support groups for youth. We are excited that this agency exsits and look forward to prividing many other services in the future.

The logo for TVPI is the West African Symbol of Cooperation and Interdependence. This symbol was chosen because it represents the way in which communities stay healthy and strong.
