Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC Health System is an acute, speciality care, teaching and research hospital, specializing in the care of women and infants. With more than 8,000 deliveries each year, Magee is one of the largest private providers of obstetrical services in the nation. In addition, Magee is one of the top 10 hospitals in the country in treatment of volumes for gynecologic cancers and maintains one of the largest breast cancer screening programs in the nation. Magee-Womens Research Institute is the nation's first research facility dedicated exclusively to women's and neonatal health issues. It was recognized in 1998 as a Center of Excellence in Research.
