Pickup Soccer YOUTH OUTREACH, Inc. is a youth recreational athletic non-profit 501(c)3 public charity located in the Manhattan Borough of New York City which conducts charitable community outreach programs and activities to benefit under-served youth under the age of 19 who reside in the local community and are from low-income economic backgrounds. One of Pickup Soccer YOUTH OUTREACH, Inc.’s programs is the Kids Classic/Free Play, an annual program held during the summer that serves 8-12 year-old underserved youth from New York City's five boroughs who are both economically-disadvantaged and possess one or more additional risk factors in their backgrounds, having faced a major life hardship, trauma, life-threatening illness, and/or bereavement in their young life. The Kids Classic/Free Play builds positive interaction, teamwork, friendship and camaraderie while improving soccer skills in a positive setting of peers, mentors and coaches; the Program is offered free-of-charge to participants and space is currently limited to 64 children each summer.
