Drifter's Hearts of Hope is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization committed to circumventing the horse-slaughter pipeline.
OUR HISTORY We've been blessed with a group of active parents and friends who became the core of Drifter's Hearts of Hope during our beginning, and remain active in the organization today. Initially, we had kids baking 'cookies' (horse treats) to raise money for horses in need. What started out as one rescue horse, Drifter, and one very special child, Bella (Read the story of Drifter and Bella here), has blossomed into an active organization in Franktown, Colorado where we are not only committed to circumventing the horse-slaughter pipeline but also educating the community about at-risk horses, hosting fun(draiser) events, and continuing to expand our rescue through initiatives like The Annie Project.
HOW TO HELP With the dedication and ongoing support of the community around us, DHOH continues to increase it's reach and impact in the horse community. We've seen many of our rescues go to wonderful loving, forever homes, all through the efforts of the members and supporters of DHOH. Want to get involved and help us save horses?
