Mission Statement

Alternatives Pregnancy Center is a non-profit counseling and pregnancy resource center committed to providing women and men with accurate up-to-date information in order to make informed decisions about pregnancy, sexual health, parenting and relationships. Because everyone should have access to this information, all of our services are freee of charge.

Description

Our Mission:
To be a compassionate provider of pregnancy resources in Greater Sacramento supporting healthy intimate relationships and life.

Our Affiliations:
Care Net was influenced by the evangelical leadership of former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. C. Everett Koop, and the late Christian apologist Dr. Francis Schaeffer. The Christian Action Council was established in 1975 by Dr. Harold O. J. Brown, and in 1993 changed its name to Care Net. Today, Care Net has grown to become the largest network of pregnancy centers in North America, of which Alternatives is one. Altogether there are 1,100 Care Net centers serving over 350,000 women each year. The primary purpose of Care Net is to assist and promote the evangelistic, pro-life work of crisis pregnancy centers.
