Mission Statement

To restore the native habitat of Forest Park, American's largest urban forest, by removing invasive plants, especially English Ivy, through youth development programs, environmental education, and community participation.

Description

The Forest Park Ivy Removal Project aka No Ivy League is a partnership between Portland Parks and Recreation and Friends of Forest Park. The project emphasizes stewardship through vounteer involvement, youth employment, educational activities, technical assistance, public policy changes, communications, developing tranferable method and monitoring practives, and research initiatives.
