Mission Statement

The Junior Service League of Woodstock is an organization of women committed to improving our community through volunteerism and fundraising. Our purpose is to serve Cherokee County families by making a positive impact on their lives and their futures. Working together we can make a difference.

Description

The Junior Service League of Woodstock was established in 1990. The League reaches out to women of all ages, races, religions, sexual orientations, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism. We are a non-profit organization that strives to improve the lives of Cherokee County residents by making a positive impact on their families and the betterment of their futures. Since its founding, the JSL of Woodstock has been fortunate enough to have hundreds of compassionate women dedicated to serving their community and making Cherokee County a better place to live.

The JSL of Woodstock was voted Volunteer of the Year by Cherokee Life Magazine in 2015. In fact, the category of outstanding volunteer had to be amended to become "an organization" for the very first time to accommodate us, as it has historically gone to an individual.

In April 2016, we will be inducted to the General Federation of Womens Club Georgia. A ceremony will be held at the GFWC Georgia Annual Convention in Callaway Gardens. We are thrilled and honored to be able to be a part of this fantastic international organization of incredible women.
