Mission Statement

To make the victim as whole as possible.

Description

We are a nonprofit organization that incorporated in 2008. Our mission is to make the victim as whole as possible. We accomplish this through two programs: (1) legal services, and (2) policy research, analysis, and education.

Our legal services program is designed to provide access to state and federal courts within Indiana and Illinois (and eventually Wisconsin) through direct, legal representation. Although we do not provide social or psychological services, we will coordinate with appropriate agencies if the individual becomes our client.

Our policy research and education program is designed to create "white paper" on issues relating to crime and human-rights abuse victimization. Furthermore, under this program, we will conduct outreach and educational programs to educate governmental and non-governmental entities about issues of crime victim and human rights abuses.

Our clients are individuals who have either been a victim of a state or federal crime or a human rights abuse (as understood under either domestic or international law only).

We welcome you to learn more and contact us through our website at www.cvhr.org.
