Mission Statement

AfroPresencia.org’s mission is to promote information about people of African descent throughout the world via social media, books, and video. Black lives have tended to be viewed from afar, our organization promotes access to Afro descendant communities who tell their own stories and have created their own agendas.

Description

mistreated socially, politically and economically; as part of our mission, we aim to bring to the forefront various forms of injustice and inequity in the global area so that the lives of marginalized Afro-descendants can change for the better.

We (1) present information about the lives of Afro-descendants throughout Latin America and the Caribbean through our website AfroPresencia.org; (2) collaborate with other Non-Governmental Organizations located in our areas of focus to influence legislative policy; and (3) promote the work of activists, organizers and artists currently working on improving the lives of Afro-descendants in Latin America and the Caribbean.
