The San Luis Obispo Children's Museum inspires learning through play within a rich environment of interactive exhibits and programs in the arts, sciences and humanities. Since opening in 1990, we have been committed to offering experiences that both invoke curiosity and imagination about the world and promote active exploration, investigation and creation. Learning becomes fun because it is motivated from within and shared with others.
The San Luis Obispo Children's Museum is proud to offer thousands of children, families, caregivers and teachers a variety of educational experiences that enrich their lives. We hope that you will enjoy the San Luis Obispo Children's Museum for years to come.
Have you had some fun today? Well here's your opportunity to incorporate regular play into your life by becoming one of the happy volunteers at the San Luis Obispo Children's Museum. Opportunities are available for both educational volunteers who work with the children and their families at the Museum and special events volunteers who organize and staff special gatherings such as birthday parties and community events. Volunteer guidelines include being at least 16 years old, committing to work two 4 hour shifts per month, attend required trainings and submitting a current TB Certification and Live Scan. And of course be willing to have fun and play.
Benefits include free passes for time volunteered, discount at museum store, free attendance at special member events and lots of smiles and laughs. Contact Sheryl Flores at (805) 545-5874 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
