Mission Statement

The Bossier Arts Council is an organization of volunteers and professional staff, dedicated to promoting, supporting, and providing cultural events and programming of the highest quality and to develop a cultural identity.

Description

The Bossier Arts Council is a non-profit agency that has been providing, promoting, and producing cultural and educational events for more than 28 years and counting! Currently housed in the Bossier Community Center through the generosity of the City of Bossier, the BAC services and programming encompass the following six areas: Community, Arts-In-Education, East Bank Gallery, East Bank Theatre, Kids-N-Art, Public Art and Re-Granting. The BAC focus is on growth and education of artists and art organizations, enhancing the quality of life for citizens, developing a cultural identify for Bossier, and providing special initiatives for the underserved, including senior citizens, disadvantaged children and Title I schools, and other special populations including those identified by geographic isolation, economic challenges, and at-risk behaviors.
