To offer youth who reside in homeless shelters and other youth at a disadvantage the opportunity to experience educational, artistic, sporting, and cultural activities not otherwise available to them.

For the past 20 years, the Lend A Hand Foundation (LAHF) has provided over 85,000 backpacks with supplies to impoverished students in Oakland/Alameda County. Annually for the past 10 years, LAHF impacts over 5,000 children and nearly 500 families by providing as many resources as possible. Most families are residing in transitional housing facilities and face traumatic experiences daily.
