Companionship Hospice Volunteers Needed

Companionship volunteers are a very important part of the care and service that our patients and families receive. Companionship volunteers can help in many ways. Volunteers can visit with patients while allowing caregivers to take a much needed break. The role of a caregiver can be very exhausting when caring for a loved one. Your role as a volunteer is very important. Volunteers visit with patients and provide a listening ear when needed. If you are caring, compassionate and would like to make a difference in someone else’s life we would love to speak with you. Companionship volunteers visit with patients who are in facilities and in the home. Our staff will work with you to identify families who could benefit most.

Administrative Volunteer Needed

Administrative Volunteers Administrative volunteers have just as important a role in a hospice organization as volunteers who work directly with patients. Administrative volunteers do a number of different tasks in the hospice organization’s office. These tasks may include: Preparing mailings and leaflets Sending cards to hospice patients Answering phone calls Putting together admit packets Setting up and manning booths at community outreach events Helping with data entry and other clerical duties If you have previously worked in an office, administrative volunteering would be a good choice for you! You’ll be able to use the skills you’ve learned in your previous jobs to help the hospice care organization with their day-to-day tasks. If you haven’t done any administrative work before, don’t worry-your hospice organization will provide you with training before you begin! (At this time, all volunteers are required to be vaccinated)
