Mission Statement

Americorps Disaster Response Teams want to honor the service of military men and women by providing relief to veterans affected by Hurricane Matthew, with help from the community. We are looking for Volusia County volunteers to accompany our 4 crews to various homes of United States veterans whose properties have been adversely affected due to the storm. Workloads would include removing debris piles from yards and limbing trees that pose a hazardous threat to residences. Skilled sawyers are welcome. Please join us in giving back to those who gave so much. We are meeting in the parking lot of the Department of Public Protection, 3825 Tiger Bay Rd, Daytona Beach, FL 32124. Description

Our AmeriCorps-Disaster Response Team, a National Community Service Program from Washington State, was deployed to Volusia County on October 16 th , 2016 in response to Hurricane Matthew. We provide tree removal and roof tarping services, at no cost to the home owners affected by the storm.
