STEPS OF COURAGE, FOOTHILLS RESOURCE GROUP

Description

Victims of domestic violence often live in crisis mode for many years after leaving an abusive situation, often returning to that situation or entering into another abusive relationship. While Steps of Courage is not a crisis shelter, we are the next step in breaking free from a life of victimization and moving toward a life of hope! At Steps of Courage, we provide a place of healing and the tools necessary to build the life that THEY dream of living. We help the ladies with setting goals and work with them as they go through the steps necessary to achieve their goals. While there, they are part of an intensive program which teaches them about their intrinsic worth. Each lady is provided with an apartment of her own. They are also provided with counseling, support groups, education about the stages of abuse, help with finding and maintaining a job, and help with furthering their education. We are a Christian organization and seek to share the love of Christ in tangible ways with the ladies who we are honored and blessed to serve. Steps of Courage a place for women to learn to thrive!
