Description

For more than 25 years, the Fisher House program has provided a "Home Away From Home" for families of patients receiving medical care at nearby VA Medical Centers and Military Base hospitals. These beautiful homes are cost-free, temporary lodging to Military Veterans and their families allowing them to be close to their loved one during a medical crisis, relieving them of added financial stress and providing them the ability to focus on what’s important - the Healing Process. These homes are much more than just a refuge or free place to stay. They also provide a place for the entire family to bond with other Military families faced with similar challenges while healing together.

West Palm Beach Fisher Houses has 8 suites with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room and an inviting living room. In fiscal year 2015-2016 WPB Fisher House accommodated 862 families, provided 2750 nights of lodging for an estimated savings of $272,250 in lodging costs alone.

Fisher House Foundation has earned the highest Four Star Charity Navigator rating for the 13 th consecutive year in a row, and an A+ rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy.
