Mission Statement

The mission of the ASU Art Museum is to serve a diverse community of artists and audiences through innovative programming that is both interdisciplinary and educational. Exhibitions, education programs and publications designed to engage viewers with art that is relevant to their lives. New technologies in the content of art and in the approaches to reaching new audiences are eagerly and openly adopted.The Museum serves students and scholars within and beyond the University and as a cultural resource for the Phoenix metropolitan area. Additionally, the Museum serves a public beyond this immediate area through traveling exhibitions and publications that not only document the exhibitions but also offer critical insight into the museum's area of concentration.

Description

The ASU Art Museum has a permanate collection of American art, Latin American art, Contemporary art and Crafts. The Museum has a full cuitorial staff who curate and organize exhibitions and publications. The Museum also has an educational staff who offers educational opportunities to school groups and addults. We also have an award winning Museum store.
