Description

Saba Homes was initiated in 2006 by Saghir Aslam and his wife Bushra Aslam well-known philanthropists from Southern California. For the past 50 years they have been helping people suffering from disasters and extreme poverty in the developing countries. During their interaction with the local communities in Pakistan, they witnessed the vulnerability, sufferings of the orphan girls. They saw that how these orphan girls are easily becoming victims of sexual abuse, neglect, torture and early marriage. This was enough to encourage both husband and wife to take action about it. Many years back they felt the need for an institution that will cater for the most vulnerable and poorest of the poor; the orphan girls in Pakistan. In 2006 they left comfortable lives they were living in America and moved to Pakistan to not only build the institution for orphan girls but to make Pakistan a peaceful and ideal place for the vulnerable children where they can live and enjoy life like other children. This is when ASaba Homes came to existence. IEWS (International Education and Welfare Society) is the legal name of Saba Homes in California. It was registered in 1996 as 501(c)3 non-profit organization in America.

Currently there are 35 orphan girls who have access to: first class accommodation with home-like environment, food clothing, hygiene and health care.
