Mission Statement

The Mission of the SLV - AHEC is to:Strengthen rural health care delivery systems, Train primary care providers for services in underserved areas, Increase the number of minorities in all health professions, Develop more training sites in community-based settings, Provide an opportunity for medical, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry students to work with a preceptor in a rural area, Enhance the quality and efficiency of academic programs in the health professions, Improve the recruitment, retention, and distribution of health care professionals, Improve access to educational resources for all health care providers.
