Teaching kids to read is not only beneficial for the kid, but also for the teacher. A lot of people recently have many problems with speaking and become very shy. Practicing reading with someone who needs help can up ones confidence. I think it's a very good organization to work for.

I have voluntered at the Burbank Public Library for over 20 years now in many capacities, from rewinding video tapes, working in the book store to being a Library Board member. All the members of the staff and administration are happy in their jobs and that creates a wonderful atmospher to be in. They always make us feel welcomed an important. Our work is meaningful and appreciated in may ways by the staff and patrons. Gloria O'Donohoe
