Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Xhanat's mission is to rescue, preserve, & demonstrate Mexican Culture and its traditions through dance, wardrobe, arts, crafts, history and monograph. Xhanat will provide programs (consisting of classes, workshops, shows, and events)allowing each student being; special needs, disabled, child, youth, adult and or senior, an opportunity to connect, participate, grow, travel, share, love, stay mentally, emotionally and physically fit all while creating a positive and capable member of the community. The stronger our program and students, the more we will be able to grow and strengthen the local communities further on a much grander scale.
Xhanat currently holds practices in Moreno Valley, CA on Mondays from 4pm-7pm, Wednesdays from 3pm-7pm and in Wilmington, CA on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-9:30pm. Classes are open to all age groups being; children from ages 3-12, youth ages 13-18, adults ages 19-55 and seniors 56+. As of now our group consists of Hispanic, Latino, African American, and Caucasian dancers, however we hope to have an even more culturally diverse group. During each practice cultural and traditional learning is put into play with each dance's region and choreography. Students part take in rhythmic timing, music interpretation and learn of the cultural descendancies in the music and dances. Memory retention, choreography, coordination are a huge aspect of each practice. As well as creating arts and crafts from different regions We urge our students to come with positive attitudes, ready for teamwork and give themselves opportunities to let their confidence radiate during practices and performances.
