Description

The Walworth County Salvation Army Service Extension Unit provides emergency assistance to persons and families facing acute and unforeseen financial crisis. The work is carried out by volunteer contact persons working in and through churches and organizations of Walworth County. The primary task of the Extension Unit is to provide short-term support for persons and families who have no where else to turn for help. We are the helpers of last resort in times of deep and immediate need.

The Red Kettle Campaign begins each year in November and continues until Christmas Eve. The money collected in the Red Kettles is used throughout the year to assist individuals and families with emergency voucher assistance. The assistance could be for rent, food, utilities, health care and transportation. The money raised within Walworth County remains within our county. 86% of the dollars are used to assist our community.
