THRIVING IN PLACE

Description

Founded in 2015, Thriving in Place is a public charity which funds and advocates on behalf of San Francisco In-Home Supportive Service Public Authority, which provides consumer-directed in home care to older adults and persons with disabilities. These consumers are typically from low-income households who are looking for a way to continue living in their homes indepdendently and to participate in their community as they see fit. Public Authority receives its funding through the city and the Medicare reimbursement program. However, there are several consumer forcused projects which are not able to be funded because there isn't much money. Thriving in Place primarily funds and advocates on behalf of Public Authority for consumer focused programs which fall outside of the city's funding limits.
