Description

The agency provides a network of comprehensive, complementary and integrated programs including meals, housing, lifelong learning, health and supportive services to seniors in San Diego. We have set the standard for achieving the optimum level of total health & wellness for each member of this unique and vulnerable senior population. Serving Seniors’ innovative programs have been empowering at-risk seniors for over 45 years. Our meals program serves nearly 600,000 hot, nutritious meals to seniors at 10 congregate dining sites and to those who are homebound. We have two affordable, supportive housing complexes which include an on-site nurse, social workers, mental health case manager and social activities to support the health and independence of our residents. The agency offers an array of activities to foster a sense of community among these seniors, easing the isolation in which they live and promoting positive life choices that afford them the dignity they deserve.
