Arts Center 4 Autistic Children, a Fractured Atlas Program

Description

Children often find it difficult to communicate or take part in everyday life when they are isolated by the effects of ASD, along with other trauma (i.e. burn victims, deafness, blindness,etc.) By providing arts and arts enrichment opportunities, children with ASD may gain some form of self-sufficiency so that they may enter the main stream of society and become a productive member of their community. AC4AC's main goal is to encourange musical and artistic development. Music and arts programs can enable children with ASD to experiment with new avenues of expression and to explore realities, relationships, and ideas that can not be conveyed simply in words or with numbers. We are committed to giving children with ASD their voice.
