Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.

I am an avid reader.....have been regularly visiting Santee Library for many years. It is a wonderful, relaxing place to be. The staff is ALWAYS helpful and kind.

I love visiting this branch because its so near my home. I love reading and using the internet services and find the staff very friendly, fun, and helpful. I would love to share my skills reshelving books and helping this branch with customer relations. In my career at UCSD, I have provided customer service as well as clerical assistance and feel comfortable providing my community with the help they need.
