Mission Statement

The Shasta Public Libraries provide information, lifelong learning, inspiration and enjoyment to people of all ages through reading and technology. Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.

Description

The Anderson Library offers a full range of library services and products with a home town feeling. Our knowledgeable staff prides itself in providing great individualized customer service and making every attempt to use a personal touch to accommodate your needs. Our dedicated staff of volunteers are an integral part of our library team. We also provide a community meeting room, public computers, a Friend's of the Library bookstore, library tours, and a weekly storytime.
