Folsom Cordova Adult School

Description

Folsom Cordova Adult School (FCAS) is part of the Folsom Cordova Unified School District and offers educational programs and services to the Rancho Cordova and surrounding communities. FCAS is in its sixty-fourth year of operation, serving the needs of approximately 700 students per year. The main campus is located in the Community Educational Center (CEC) in Rancho Cordova where currently our Adult Secondary Education (ASE), Adult Basic Education (ABE), Career Technical Education (CTE), and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are held. Parenting Education classes are held at seven elementary sites in Folsom and one in Rancho Cordova (Mather). Our CTE courses include Welding, located at Kinney High School (about a mile away), and Office Technology, located on our the main campus.

The objective of Folsom Cordova Adult School is to provide pathways in adult education programs that help students to achieve their educational and career goals. Adult education gives people the skills and support they need to be self-sufficient, engaged citizens. We prepare our students for 21st century skills, including blended learning environments, relevant and rigorous curriculum, and student support services. Additionally, our adult school school is growing, and we are continuing to partner with businesses in the community that align courses to jobs. Programs are open to all students over 18 years of age.
