Tools for Hope Inc. (TFH) is organized to help identify Rwandan (and later other national) issues that are impeding the typical Rwandan subsistence farmer’s advance toward increased prosperity; and to identify and assist in implementing Rwandan approved solutions to those issues

Description

The TFH model for assisting the subsistence farmers relies on close and continued contact with the farmers to identify and prioritize their needs. Assistance will usually take the form of micro-finance loans at very low interest rates to purchase equipment e.g., irrigation pumps, that will result in improved economic conditions for the subsistence farmers. Such assistance serves two additional objectives. It provides dignity to the subsistence farmers who are becoming more self-reliant, and it informs TFH as to the efficacy of its efforts to assist the farmers.
