Mission Statement

The Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) empowers enlisted military veterans by providing them with a skill bridge that enables a successful transition from the battlefield to the classroom; maximizes their education opportunities by making them informed consumers of education, and increases the confidence they will need to successfully complete a rigorous four-year undergraduate program at a top-tier school.

Description

Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) runs intensive, immersive, one and two week college-preparatory academic boot camps hosted at America’s top universities for current and former service members pursuing higher education. These boot camps are offered at no cost to the student-veteran participant.

During the boot camp, WSP participants are guided by not only highly successful student-veterans who have already successfully transitioned from the military to college, but also by dedicated senior university faculty. Students on the Warrior-Scholar Project are introduced to the analytical reading, writing, and discussion skills crucial to academic success at the highest levels. Students also learn about the many challenges that are experienced by student-veterans during their transition from military service to college.
