Mission Statement
Paws for Purple Hearts improves the lives of America's Warriors facing mobility challenges and trauma-related conditions such as PTSD and TBI by providing the highest quality service dogs and canine-assisted therapeutic programs; and by building public awareness about the role dogs play in help Warriors along the road to recovery.
Description
Paws for Purple Hearts developed an innovative therapeutic intervention for Veterans and Active-Duty Military Personnel in which those with trauma-related conditions resulting from Post-Traumatic Stress or Traumatic Brain Injury actively participate to help train and prepare service dogs for their comrades with mobility challenges and/or trauma-related conditions. Paws for Purple Hearts builds on the time-honored tradition of Warriors helping Warriors.
