Mission Statement
The mission of the Medical Reserve Corps of Dodge County is to bring together local health professionals and other volunteers to help the Dodge County community to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
Description
Dodge County MRC is in its beginning stages. This unit is a part of the Dodge County Public Health Department. MRC of Dodge County deals with surge capacity in a local disaster, including assisting mass prophylaxis/vaccination clinics or other major public health needs. The unit is partnered with County resources to develop a coordinated response to a disaster. We need to recruit licensed health and medical personnel, including nurses, nurse practitioners, veterinarians, pharmacists, doctors, chiropractors, physician assistants, EMT's, dentists, and other non medical volunteers in the county. This unit is planning on recruiting members for its MRC in the upcoming months. These MRC volunteers will be included in exercises being planned by the Public Health Department along with possible health education outreach. Volunteers can be deployed to disasters locally, within the state, or nationally if they wish. We encourage all prospective volunteers to find more information and register at www.mnresponds.org
