To build upon our area's arts and culural achievements by nurturing and supporting artists, strengthening existing cultural programs throughout the region and by introducing new ventures that will enable us to emerge as a vibrant arts destination with strong links to our unique history.

Description

St. Mary's Art Center is located in an historical landmark building, St. Mary Louise Hospital, built in 1875. We offer a variety of art programs, seven art galleries, workshops, retreats, tours and accommodations for a variety of needs. We have an art studio, print room, dark room, 16 guest rooms, 2 kitchens and an amazing location off of the main street. Our organization is a cornerstone of Virginia City with a long standing and deep connection to history and as a vibrant art center since 1964.
