Mission Statement

To provide affordable community-focused volunteering experiences around the world for volunteers of all ages 18 - 75+ and of all backgrounds. We believe everyone has something to offer.

Description

Original Volunteers was founded in 2006 to provide an alternative option to the higher fees charged by other similar volunteer-sending organisations.

Over the past 10 years our volunteers have build schools, installed safe water systems and saved lives through health care practices and protecting children.

Our placements are focused on smaller projects and charities in need abroad where local resources are lacking.

We are experienced in tailoring the skills and expertise of our volunteers, whatever their background, to their placement with the help of our experienced local in-country teams.

Projects ideally suited to first time volunteers include:

  • Mexico
  • Ghana
  • Morocco
  • Cambodia

We also provide expert advice by telephone and email for anyone not sure where to start or where their skills or interests are best applied.
