Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Dayton Autism Society to educate the local community about autism through autism awareness efforts, support individuals and families affected by autism financially and through educational opportunities, and to collaborate and network with other ASA chapters and local autism organizations to bring awareness, advocacy, support, and acceptance to the families we serve in the greater Dayton area.
Description
The Dayton Autism Society raises community awareness through events such as Pump It Up's Bounce For Autism, our annual Walk for Autism, and other events throughout the year.
We provide recreational opportunities for children affected by autism and their families through events such as the Private Sensory Jump nights at Pump It Up, and referrals to other recreational opportunities.
We collaborate with other ASAĆ chapters and local autism groups to bring educational workshops and conferences to the greater Dayton area.
We provide financial support to local families through our Family Grant program and our holiday Adopt-A-Family programs.
We provide information to families about services, community & financial support, advocacy, and education through links on our website.
We provide support to other local autism groups through financial support of their event, by volunteering to help, or by allowing them to advertise their events on our Community calendar.
We also provides information about educational opportunities, community events, support groups, and more through our website and Autism Community calendar.
The Dayton Autism Society is a member of the Ohio Autism Coalition and we advocate on behalf of the families we serve.
