Motivated by the love of Jesus, Babysteps Ministry seeks to empower the homeless to take small steps toward lasting life change through relational discipleship.

Description

Babysteps uses a relational approach to solve homelessness. Our first step is not usually to meet physical needs. It’s to be friends. To understand. To just be. Homeless men and women are people, just like you. Isolation and feeling ignored are two of the worst things for anyone to experience. They crush the spirit. Demoralize the soul. Harden the heart. And homeless people live with them every day. This is their single greatest need, and no amount of free food will meet it.

Babysteps Ministry wrote back to me the day after I applied, and Sarah Magill (Executive Administrator) scheduled date and time for us to meet on Skype.Just like the a meeting in person! Sarah sent me the instructions she had prepared and I started to follow the steps. BS has 100% online volunteer opportunities, which is great for people who don't have time to go physically to places. I still volunteer for Babysteps! and don't plan on leaving :) Currently, BABYSTEPS MINISTRY HAS 5 WORK OPPORTUNITIES WAITING FOR A VOLUNTEER!
