Mission Statement

Founded in 1958, HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.

Description

Since 1958, programs are conducted annually throughout the United States, serving local and international high school students. HOBY Illinois is proud to host two leadership seminars: Illinois North and Illinois Central-South. These leaderships provide unique leadership training for high school sophomores from around the state in the areas of personal leadership, group leadership, and societal leadership following the social change model of leadership. Leadership seminars are held for either three or four days, when Illinois sophomores get a chance to interact with motivated teenagers from around the state and create action plans to better themselves and

Over 475,000 people from around the world are proud HOBY alumni, and the organization has over 4,000 volunteers annually.
